Candles
Our Candles are made with Natural Soy Wax & Wood Wicks. We select all fragrances used ourselves.
The Benefits of Soy Wax:
It's 100% Natural, Eco-friendly & Biodegradable -
Soy Wax is derived from soy beans which is a natural and renewable source that grows quite easily in many regions. Since soybeans are a vegetable, soy wax is naturally biodegradable and eco-friendly; making soy candles the safest and most economical way to indulge in your favourite scents. Soy wax does not contain any extra additives or artificial products. Due to this it does have imperfections such as discoloration, frosting and unevenly set tops.
Cleaner & Slower Burns -
Zero toxins, carcinogens or pollutants mean that soy candles are less likely to trigger allergies. Soy wax is much healthier for us and the environment. This planet-friendly substance doesn't emit any nasties into our atmospheres.
Stronger Scent Throw -
A candle's scent is emitted into the air from the wax pool that surrounds the wick. Because the melting point of soy wax is lower than paraffin, this means that there is usually a larger pool around the wick, resulting in a much stronger aroma.
The Benefits of Wood Wicks:
While most candles in todays market are sold with cotton wicks; our candles feature stunning wood wicks which crackle while they burn.
100% Natural, Eco-friendly & Biodegradable -
Wood wicks are harvested with sustainable forestry methods, and thousands of wicks can come from a single tree making them more economically friendly than standard cotton wicks. According to the National Wildlife Federation, cotton is one of the most chemically intensive crops globally.
Clean & Even Burns -
Wooden wicks heat your wax evenly, allowing you to get the most out of your candle. Our wood wicks create and even flame on all sides, giving you a clean and even burn that is soot-free. All you need to do is trim off the charred part of the wick, and you’ll have a bright and clean burn every time. (Read how to best maintain your wicks and candles below in the care instructions)
CANDLE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
CREATING A BURN MEMORY:
When lighting a candle for the first time, it's important to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. If you don't allow the wax to pool on the first burn, it will begin to tunnel and not reach the outsides of the jar, leaving residue around the sides along with wasted wax and fragrance. It is also recommended to burn your candle for no longer than 4 hours each burn cycle.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE EACH BURN:
Trim the wick to approx. 5 mm before relighting. Doing this will allow the candle to burn at the recommended and safe temperature. Trimming the wick each time will help your candle to burn evenly and longer, helping to eliminate smoking and minimising soot forming on the container.
WHERE TO BURN YOUR CANDLE:
Burn your candle on an appropriate flat heat-resistant surface in a draft free area away from pets, children and flammable material as the glass may become hot. Never move a burning candle. Ensure candle is extinguished, wax is solid and jar is cold before handling.
STOP USING YOUR CANDLE:
When approximately 2cm of wax remain in the jar to avoid potential fire hazard or cracking of your jar.
NEVER LEAVE CANDLES UNATTENDED:
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles before leaving a room or going to sleep.
HOW TO STORE YOUR SOY CANDLES:
Soy wax is sensitive to temperature and sunlight. Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Wax Melts & Burners
Our Wax melts are made with the same soy wax as described in our candle section also making them 100% natural. They're a great alternative if candles aren't your style and can also be a flame-free option with one of our electric burners.
WAX MELT CARE INSTRUCTIONS
We recommend testing 1 cube for your first burn to gage the strength of scent you prefer. Most commonly 2 cubes are used during a burn in a large open space such as a living or dining space. If you are using your new melts in a small room such as a bedroom or bathroom we recommend just 1 melt will be strong enough yet not overpowering, however this is personal preference.
Each melt cube takes approx. 10 - 15 minutes to melt completely in a standard burner and has an approx. burn time of around 10 hours or until you can no longer smell the scent.
How to remove old wax melts from your burner:
Tealights -
Either soak the remaining wax up using make up pads or tissues, otherwise allow your wax to set again and when you next use your burner let it partially melt the bottom and then scoop out the remainder once again using a tissue. wipe over your burner with a clean tissue before placing a new melt in the bowl.
Electric Burners -
Simply use the same method as stated in the tealights section or wait until the wax has cooled, remove the dish from the burner and place in the freezer for 30 minutes and then take it out. The wax will easily "pop" out of the dish. Ensure to clean the dish and wipe it over before using it again.
Diffusers
A reed or car diffuser is one of the simplest of home fragrance products. It doesn’t need a flame to work (so no need to keep an eye on it). No aerosols, and requires no power to work. Simply place the reeds in the fragrance or soak the wooden cap and you are good to go.
CAR DIFFUSER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Twist and remove wooden bottle lid. Carefully remove the clear plastic stopper from the top of the bottle.
STEP 2
Replace and tighten wooden lid.
STEP 3
Tip the bottle upside down for 10 - 15 seconds so that the fragrance absorbs into the wooden lid. Do not over saturate with fragrance. Replace plastic stopper.
STEP 4
Hang in your car or around the home.
CAUTIONS:
- Take care not to spill liquid when refreshing fragrance. Remove from car and tighten lid before tipping upside down. Any spillage/leakage onto plastics, vinyl, leather etc. WILL CAUSE DAMAGE!
- Do not use where driver’s visibility or view may be obscured. DO NOT hang over console or from mirror, do not leave bottle lying on a surface, hang at all times. or leakage will occur.
- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing.
- Prolonged exposure to high interior temperature must be avoided. If inside temperature exceeds 30 degrees celsius, remove bottle and place in sealed container to avoid leakage or damage.
REED DIFFUSER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
Remove the cap and stopper, replace the cap and insert the reeds. After 1 hour, flip the reeds to saturate the other end of the reeds.
STEP 2
Place your reed diffuser where people pass throughout the day, this encourages air circulation and lifts the fragrance. If you like a fuller fragrance, use all the reeds provided, for a lighter fragrance use fewer reeds.
STEP 3
Flip reeds every time you notice the scent dissipating (this is usually once a week). Your reed diffuser can last up to 6 months, depending on the bottle size and air conditions it is placed in.
TIPS
Some factors that will affect how long your reed diffuser will last and the amount of fragrance it releases are:
- Number of reeds used
- The airflow around your diffuser, if close to a fan, air conditioning or open window the reeds will soak up oil faster.
Reed Diffusers work best in smaller and closed rooms. If placed in a larger living room use all reeds provided to get a better scent throw. If placed in a large open room diffusers can become hard to smell due to the area and air flow being overpowering.
WARNINGS
- Do not light the reeds
- Ensue your Reed Diffuser is placed out of reach of children and pets
- Ensure your Reed Diffuser is in an area it will not be knocked over - If spilt, clean area immediately as the liquid WILL damage surfaces and paint!
- Keep away from electrical appliances
